This charcoal water filter is made out from binchotan charcoal, one of the strongest natural filtering material we know.
It is made of 97% of pure carbon that allow him to absorb toxins, lead, mercury, cadmium, copper and chlorine from tap water. In return, it frees calcium, potassium and magnesium into the water.
The charcoal filter works best when left in a glass carafe for 8 hours, but its effects are already noticeable after one hour.
To activate charcoals which are not individually packed, simply put them in a pan of water then bring it to boil for 5 minutes.
Contains: 20 charcoal filters
How to use it?
Simply place the charcoal filter in a jug of water and it will work its magic. The water's taste will noticeably improve already after 1 hour, but for the best effect, leave it there for 8 hours - ideally overnight.
Over time, you will notice a decrease in the filter's effectiveness on the taste of the water. You can then recharge it by simply boiling it for ten minutes.
Boiling washes away impurities and releases the charcoal to regain absorption qualities. Some people have more sensitive taste buds than others, so if you notice a drop in taste before 3 months have passed, it is quite normal to boil it at this stage as well. Giving it a total shelf life of six months, as long as it produces the desired effect, it means it's working!
